Should I talk to elders?
by Chook inthe whole world is rigged, whether its religious tribunals or local police enforcement, those who are paid by god or government are the enforcers .
should you talk to elders... well imagine that brooklyn had ordered these men to df anyone who says anything against the slave.
do you stand a chance , religious zealots are the most ruthless throughout history, look into it , it's scary to think we believed a magazine that we thought came from god .

LANDY - How can you say that it's easier to agree with everything they say? :) :) :)
Maybe some could, but I certainly couldn't.
However, as a word of warning, I've been informed of a recent case where a family politely declined their elders' offer to talk about a personal situation. Taking this rebuttal as a personal insult to the elders' "authority & power," they gave a marking talk against the family, and their shunning outside the K.H. continues.
The scumbags will do whatever they want to try and force you to submit to their "
theocraticdemonic arrangement." -

Yes - definitely talk to your elders!! And here is exactly what you should say to them:
"Thank you for your concerns brothers, but I have private & personal issues which I can't discuss with anyone at the moment, but I certainly appreciate your motives and concern. If things change, I will call you. Thank you for your offer".
If they say, "We only want to come and give you encouragement." Simply repeat the response above - especially the phrase "private & personal."!
If they come back at you with, "But how can we help you if you won't talk to us?" just reply, "Everyone has private & personal situations which they can't discuss with others, and I'm sure that includes the elders - I'm no different!"
If they try to threaten you with "Are you refusing to talk with us?", respond, "No, I just don't want to discuss things right now. I'll call you if things change."
If they try to push you, just say 'thanks' and walk away immediately!
Do not prolong the interrogation. They can't punish you for ending a conversation!

Is this the last chance for inactive and df'd ones?
by innerpeace inhi all, just wondering if there's anything going around about the elders receiving instruction from the society to give inactive ones and disfellowshipped ones one last chance to come back?
i ask because i have a still in family member that i received a message from, and urging me to go back.
the elders are apparently saying there is no time left.

Just as the org implied/inferred/alluded/suggested that 1975 could see Armageddon kicking off - but never said it in outright language in the literature, (AFAIK) they appear to be doing the same regarding inactive ones.
Their propaganda seems to be inciting some active J.W.'s to assume that inactive ones are now no better than df'd ones and should be treated as such. Of course the org would deny any connection to such a teaching, while rubbing its hands in glee.
JW's could soon emulate the McCarthy witch-hunts.

December Study Watchtower - Preparing to Reveal a New Light?
by The Searcher inthe jw/wtbt's anti-scriptural & anti-christ teaching that "a person's own death wipes out their sins" (based on their lie that romans 6:7 is to be interpreted literally) appears to have had a little wedge inserted into it.
despite making numerous accurate references to the fact that 1st century christians had figuratively died to sin, the svengalis at the top of the brooklyn pyramid point-blank refuse to discuss/cite/quote romans 6:7 and its true meaning.

prologos - I appreciate that many here have no interest/belief in the Bible. I'm simply trying to show any JW's/lurkers that from a purely scriptural perspective, what they're being fed regarding Romans 6:7 is a blatant lie. Whether it's factual or not, is not my reason for highlighting it - I dearly wish to let others see that their self-appointed governing body in Brooklyn are religious charlatans.

Hi Nic - I appreciate your thinking, but weeks after I'd discussed Romans 6:7 with a Ministerial Servant, he came up to me and said that he wished I'd never mentioned it to him! Still later, he actually said that his "progressive Bible study" had terminated the study, because he'd reasoned that all he had to do was eventually die, and not have to do what J.W.'s were doing.
The fact remains that J.W.'s are equating the benefits of their own death with that of Christ's - and it hasn't dawned on them! I reckon it's worth enlightening them.

Page 10, par. 9 & 10 - Because, as Paul writes, Christians have "died with reference to sin." (Read Romans 6:1, 2.) While they were still alive on earth, how could it be said of them that they had "died with reference to sin"? (Why don't you read Romans 6:7?)
10 God applied the ransomto Paul and others of his day....... But Paul could speak of them while they were still alive and serving God on earth as having "died with reference to sin.".....It was similar with anointed Christians, who could consider themselves "dead with reference to sin but living with reference to God by Christ Jesus." (Rom. 6:9, 11) Their way of life was not as it once was. They were no longer obeying the dictates or impulses of their sinful desires. They had died to that previous way of life. (Did you read Romans 6:7 yet?)
Page 10, par. 11 - What of us? Well, before we became Christians, we often sinned, perhaps not realizing how wrong or bad our actions were in God’s eyes. So we too could be said to have "died with reference to sin." (Hellooooooooo!! Romans 6:7 is just begging to be read!!!)
Page 10, Par. 12 - Or am I dead with reference to sin? Am I living with reference to God by Christ Jesus?’ (Are your brain cells dead too? Just read Romans 6:7 why don't you?)
Page 11, par. 13 - Paul was inspired to write to them: "Neither go on presenting your bodies to sin as weapons of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, also your bodies to God as weapons of righteousness." (Rom. 6:13) (Don't tell me they've deleted Romans 6:7 from the Revised New World Translation. Groan!!!)

w06 3/15 p. 24 par. 12 “Each One Will Carry His Own Load” - "The source of pay and the location of the employment also enter into the picture. For example, would a Christian who is a self-employed contractor bid on a job that involves painting one of the churches of Christendom and thereby share in helping to promote false religion?"
Remember who the WTBTS sold their New Zealand Branch Office to?Yes, the Elim Church!!! They also recently sold an Assembly Hall in the U.S. to another religion!!The Pharisees in Brooklyn make the rules - and the money. If you're a self-employed J.W. trying to earn an honest living, don't you dare carry out maintenance on Babylon the Great's properties. -

Today's Daily Text - Repetition of Lies From Watchtower Articles
by The Searcher inif you repeat a lie often enough, many will accept it as truth.
the org successfully employs this strategy by regurgitating previous watchtower articles into bite-size chunks, and presenting it as a "spiritual starter" to the day for the faithful to swallow.

LOL, by extension, the "people" now include non-anointed J.W.'s.
Why? Because they've got to be included in the recruitment work which the org (out of the other side of its mouth) claims was given to their elite section of Christianity - the 144,000!
One lie spawns other lies. They never learn.

"We Must Obey the Org - Rather Than God!"
by The Searcher inbefore geoffrey jackson of the governing body was questioned by the australian royal commission, he was asked whether he wanted to swear on the bible or take an affirmation; he chose to swear on the bible.
the present governing body of jehovah's witnesses (including jackson) deems that swearing on the bible is a matter of conscience!.

Before Geoffrey Jackson of the governing body was questioned by the Australian Royal Commission, he was asked whether he wanted to swear on the Bible or take an affirmation; he chose to swear on the Bible. The present governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses (including Jackson) deems that swearing on the Bible is a matter of conscience!
w03 1/15 p. 21 Questions From Readers - "Is it Scripturally acceptable for a Christian to place his hand on the Bible and swear to tell the whole truth in court?" "Each individual must make a personal decision in this regard. (Galatians 6:5) However, there is no Biblical objection to taking an oath to tell the truth in court." (edited)
The governing body clearly practices what they themselves preach, rather than what the Bible teaches!
Their inspired expressions take precedence over Christ's.
(Matthew 5:34-37) "However, I say to you: Do not swear at all, neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne; nor by earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. Do not swear by your head, since you cannot turn one hair white or black. Just let your word ‘Yes’ mean yes, your ‘No,’ no, for what goes beyond these [yes or no] is from the wicked one."
Which parts of "do not" and "at all" are hard to interpret or understand?
Using the governing body's reasoning, when Christians are told not to commit adultery, (Romans 2:22) it is in fact down to the individual's conscience to guide them!!!
